Meanwhile, approximately one thousand households in the southern state also encountered power outages after the capital city saw its most precipitation in a year and a half.
Rescue organizations received 598 emergency reports across the state, primarily for building damage but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
Tuesday was forecast to be the wettest day, with continued storm activity anticipated across multiple regions of both areas.

Health officials warned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
