I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
